I believe that is important for the Board of Education to make students their first priority, communicate effectively with the community, and work as a team toward the common goal of providing high quality cost efficient instruction and educational experiences for all of our children. As a parent, teacher, past Board of Education member and current Co-Chair of the Hampton-Scotland School Readiness Council, I have the skills, experience, and perspective necessary to do the job.

My name is Daniel Savino, candidate for the Hampton BOE. I have lived in this area my entire life, the past ten years in Hampton. I am very aware of the issues surrounding our town, region 11 and Hampton Elementary School and I am very invested in the future of our town and our children. If elected, I will listen to others with respect and an open mind as we all strive to provide a positive educational experience for our students while balancing fiscal responsibility. I welcome the opportunity to serve my community.

My first term on the Board was for two years and it was an extremely valuable learning experience for me. I have gained an even greater appreciation and respect for the role and responsibility of the school board over time and this has informed both my positions as board member and educator. I believe I am able to bring a special set of skills to the position: knowledge of elementary education, BOE experience, open-mindedness, and the belief that a good education is the most important investment we can make for our children.
